The Lumin is a city microcar that Changan builds for the Chinese domestic market. The cabin takes 4 people, and no version in the series has a combustion engine of any kind.
Motor output differs little from one version to the next: 30 to 35 kW, which works out at roughly 41 to 48 hp. No multi-speed gearbox is fitted and drive goes through a single-speed reducer.
What separates the versions is mostly the energy on board: batteries run from 12.9 to 28.1 kWh and quoted range from 130 to 301 km, the widest spread of any figure in the series. The body is very short, between 3,270 and 3,293 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,545 mm tall, on a 1,980 mm wheelbase.
There are 19 versions, priced from 37,900 to 69,900 yuan, and the car has been built since 2022. By power the entire line-up lies below the 58.84 kW threshold; not one of the 19 versions rises above it. Body, transmission and seating are shared by every version, which leaves battery and price as the two things a buyer actually chooses between. Chinese sales over 12 months came to 95,218 cars.
