Song L DM-i is a mid-size crossover from BYD offered with one kind of powertrain only, a plug-in hybrid. It is sold on the Chinese home market, where 82,418 cars of the series found buyers over the past 12 months.
The price list runs to 13 versions, and output does not separate them: every entry is quoted at 74 kW, about 100 hp. The engine is a single one too, of 1,498 cc or 1.5 litres, with a China 6 emissions rating, and one transmission serves the range, a CVT.
Where the versions differ is the battery, listed from 12.9 to 26.6 kWh, and the quoted electric range, which runs from 75 to 200 km. Those two figures are the main dividing line inside the line-up.
A single body covers every version: 4,780 mm long, 1,898 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, on a 2,782 mm wheelbase, with 5 seats. No longer or shorter variant appears in the price list.
Factory prices run from 135,800 to 175,800 yuan. The car has been built since 2024 and remains in production. Against the 117.68 kW mark, the figure that equals 160 hp, all 13 versions sit below it, and none above.
