BYD e7

BYD sells the e7, a mid-size sedan, on the Chinese market as a purely electric model: not a single version in the series carries a combustion engine, and there is no hybrid variant of it either.
Mechanically the range is simple. Every version uses the same 100 kW motor, about 136 hp, driving through the same single-speed reduction gear, and there is no spread of output inside the series at all.
The differences lie elsewhere. Battery capacity moves from 48 to 57.6 kWh and quoted range from 450 to 520 km. The body is shared across the series: 4,780 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,515 mm tall, on a 2,820 mm wheelbase, with 5 seats.
Factory prices sit between 103,800 and 139,800 yuan even though output is identical throughout, so the price band inside the range is not tied to power. The car has been built since 2025, and sales over 12 months came to 26,580 units.
For electric cars the power threshold falls at 58.84 kW, roughly 80 hp, and all 6 versions of the series stay above it, each by the same margin.
