BYD Yuan PLUS元PLUS

The Yuan PLUS is a compact electric BYD crossover, built for the Chinese market since 2022. Over 12 months it accounted for 80,558 sales in China.

The whole family shares one drive layout, rear-wheel drive with a rear-mounted motor, and one transmission, a single-speed reduction gear. Output varies from 150 to 240 kW, or about 203 to 326 hp.

Battery capacity runs from 49.9 to 68.5 kWh and the quoted range from 430 to 630 km. Body dimensions differ noticeably between versions: length from 4,455 to 4,665 mm, width from 1,875 to 1,895 mm, height from 1,615 to 1,675 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,720 to 2,770 mm. Every version seats 5, and the gap between the shortest and the longest car is plain to the eye.

Factory prices in China run from 115,800 to 167,800 yuan. All 24 versions sit above the 58.84 kW threshold, the entry car included.
