BYD Seal 06 GT海豹06GT

The Seal 06 GT is a fully electric mid-size sedan that BYD has built for the Chinese market since 2025. Over the past year it accounted for 29,418 sales in China.

There is no low-powered entry point here: output starts at 160 kW and rises to 310 kW, or 217 to 421 hp. A single-speed reduction gear is the only transmission in the range, and drive is either rear, with a rear-mounted motor, or all-wheel drive once a second electric motor is added.

Battery capacity spans 57.5 to 73 kWh and the quoted range 505 to 620 km. The body is identical across the family: 4,630 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, 1,490 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm and seating for 5. Factory prices in China run from 128,900 to 186,800 yuan, so what separates the versions is the number of motors, the battery and the range rather than the bodywork.

Measured against the 58.84 kW threshold, the whole family sits above it: none of the 12 versions falls below, the rear-drive entry car included. The choice within the range comes down to whether a second motor and a larger battery are wanted.
