The Buick E5 is a large crossover that SAIC-GM Buick has been building for the Chinese market since 2023. One energy type serves the whole line — electric — and the cabin seats 5.
Output ranges from 150 to 211 kW, roughly 204 to 287 hp. All-wheel drive comes from two electric motors, and a single-speed reduction gear takes the place of a conventional gearbox; every entry in the line is driven on both axles.
The body is 4,892 mm long and 1,905 mm wide, with height between 1,681 and 1,684 mm and a wheelbase of 2,954 mm. Height is the only dimension that shifts from one version to the next. Batteries are quoted from 65 to 79.7 kWh, and the claimed driving range from 515 to 620 km.
The line holds 12 versions priced from 169,900 to 249,900 yuan at the factory, and none of them drops below the 58.84 kW mark. Chinese sales over the past 12 months came to 7,662 cars.
What separates the versions is output, battery capacity and quoted range; the body and the seat count are shared across the range.
