Buick Verano威朗

Verano is a compact sedan wearing the American Buick badge and built for China by SAIC-GM Buick. The range has been around for a long time and now counts 14 versions with different engines and transmissions.

On sale since 2015. The engines are combustion units of 999 cc (1.0 litre) to 1,498 cc (1.5 litres), with output running from 92 kW (125 hp) to 135 kW (184 hp). Every version drives the front wheels.

Three transmissions are used across the line: a 6-speed automatic, a CVT, and a CVT with seven fixed ratios. The emission standard is China 6.

The 117.68 kW (160 hp) mark falls inside this range rather than outside it: one version stays below the figure and the other 13 sit above it.

Body dimensions vary between versions: length from 4,664 to 4,723 mm, width from 1,786 to 1,802 mm, height from 1,466 to 1,476 mm. The wheelbase is fixed at 2,700 mm and the cabin seats five. Factory prices run from 128,900 to 182,900 yuan, and sales over 12 months on the Chinese market came to 7,865 cars.
