The Z4 is a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe from BMW, built from 2004 to 2023. Chinese price lists filed the series under sports cars and kept it there to the end of its production run.
Two displacements are listed, 1,998 and 2,998 cc — 2.0 and 3.0 litres — and output ranges from 145 to 250 kW, or 197 to 340 hp. No hybrid or electric version was offered, only an internal combustion engine, and emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.
The transmission is always an automatic, quoted with 8 speeds on part of the range; no manual appears in the price list. Rear-wheel drive was the only layout in the series.
The body is low and short: 4,336 to 4,337 mm long, 1,867 mm wide, 1,312 to 1,322 mm tall, on a 2,470 mm wheelbase. Only length and height move between versions, and then by a few millimetres. There are 2 seats inside.
Factory prices held to a corridor from 488,800 to 640,900 yuan. The price list holds 9 versions, and by output all of them are above the 117.68 kW (160 hp) mark.
