BMW M240i

The M240i is a compact BMW that Chinese price lists have carried since 2023. Every version is all-wheel drive, and the range itself is short, with little changing from one version to the next.

A single engine covers the model: 2,998 cc, that is 3.0 litres, quoted at 245 kW, or 333 hp, on every version. Output does not vary at all, so versions inside the range are separated by something other than the engine. No hybrid or electric version is listed, emissions are certified to the China 6 standard, and the automatic transmission comes with 8 speeds.

The body is a sedan, short and low: 4,556 mm long, 1,838 mm wide, 1,405 to 1,412 mm tall depending on the version, on a 2,741 mm wheelbase. Height is the only dimension that shifts between versions; length, width and wheelbase are shared. Inside there are 4 seats.

Factory prices are tightly grouped, from 398,000 to 419,800 yuan, a narrow corridor for a whole series. The price list holds 5 versions, and by output all of them are above the 117.68 kW (160 hp) mark.
