The iX1 is BMW's compact electric crossover for the Chinese market, assembled by BMW Brilliance. Factory prices for the series start at 228,000 yuan and reach 339,900 yuan.
All 16 versions of the series are all-wheel drive: two electric motors, no stepped gearbox, a single-speed reduction gear instead. Rear-driven cars are not part of the line-up, and neither are versions with an internal combustion engine.
Output ranges from 150 kW, or 203 hp, to 230 kW, which is 312 hp. Every version carries the same battery, 66.5 kWh, while the claimed driving range differs: from 450 to 563 km. Output and quoted range are what tell the versions apart; battery capacity is the one figure that stays put.
The body is the same throughout: 4,616 mm long, 1,845 mm wide, 1,641 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,802 mm. Seating is for 5, and no other layout is offered.
The model has been built since 2023, and 11,584 cars of the series were sold in China over the past 12 months. In output terms the whole line sits above the 58.84 kW mark.
