BMW 2系

Built by BMW Brilliance for the Chinese market, the 2 Series is a compact-class sedan that has been in production since 2025. Over the past 12 months the series accounted for 7,026 sales in China.

One displacement covers the whole range — 1,998 cc, close to 2.0 litres — but the tune varies widely, from 150 to 221 kW, or 204 to 300 hp. There is no hybrid or electric version here, only an internal combustion engine, and emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.

The transmission is a wet dual-clutch unit on every version, quoted with 7 speeds on part of the range. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive both appear inside the series, so the layout follows the version rather than the model as a whole.

Dimensions barely move: length runs from 4,660 to 4,663 mm, width is 1,801 mm, height goes from 1,449 to 1,457 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,780 mm on every version. The cabin seats 5.

Factory prices run from 208,000 to 298,000 yuan. The price list is a short one — 6 versions, and by output every one of them is above the 117.68 kW (160 hp) mark.
