ARCFOX Alpha S5阿尔法S5

The ARCFOX Alpha S5 mixes two kinds of drivetrain in one line-up: fully electric versions and series hybrids. It is a mid-size sedan from BAIC New Energy, produced since 2024.

Output ranges from 185 to 390 kW, roughly 251 to 530 hp. Transmission is single-speed throughout, and three driveline layouts appear in the series: front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive with a rear-mounted motor, and all-wheel drive with two electric motors. The combustion engine fitted to part of the range displaces 1,498 cc, about 1.5 litres, and carries the factory index A156A1; the emission standard is China 6.

Body length depends on the version and moves between 4,820 and 4,886 mm, with width at 1,930 mm, height at 1,480 mm and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Every version seats 5.

Battery capacity is spread widely, from 27.4 to 79.2 kWh, and the claimed range covers everything from 230 to 720 km.

Factory prices for the 24 trims run from 104,800 to 184,800 yuan. The whole series clears the 58.84 kW threshold: all 24 versions stand above it. Chinese sales over 12 months came to 37,605 units.
