AITO M8

The AITO M8 is a large SUV built for the Chinese domestic market and produced since 2025. Its range runs in two directions at once: fully electric versions and series hybrids stand side by side.

Power output spans a wide band: from 227 kW, roughly 308 hp, up to 397 kW, or about 540 hp. No version uses a stepped gearbox — drive is taken through a single-speed reduction gear. Two driveline layouts are offered, rear-wheel drive with a rear-mounted motor and all-wheel drive with two electric motors. The combustion engine used in the range displaces 1,496 cc, about 1.5 litres, and carries the factory index HG15T; the emission standard is China 6.

The body is large: 5,190 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, on a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. Cabins come in two seating layouts, with 5 or 6 seats.

Battery packs run from 37 to 100 kWh, and the claimed range across versions falls between 201 and 705 km. Factory prices for the 28 trims start at 359,800 yuan and reach 459,800 yuan.

The 58.84 kW threshold that applies to electric and series-hybrid cars is cleared by the whole range: all 28 versions stand above it. Chinese sales over 12 months came to 127,871 units.
