Aion AION S

The AION S is a compact-class electric sedan that GAC Aion sells on the Chinese domestic market. Sales of the series over the past 12 months came to 32,961 cars.

The line has been in production since 2019 and is still current. Over those years the price list has grown to 68 versions, a long list for a single model.

Output varies widely inside the range, from 100 to 180 kW, or 136 to 245 hp. Every version uses a single-speed reduction gear and front-wheel drive. Battery capacity moves between 46.8 and 69.9 kWh, and quoted range between 410 and 610 km.

The body is not identical across versions: length from 4,768 to 4,863 mm, width from 1,880 to 1,890 mm, height from 1,515 to 1,545 mm, and a wheelbase of either 2,750 or 2,760 mm. All versions seat 5.

Factory prices start at 118,800 yuan and reach 205,800. The width of that corridor follows from the size of the range itself: 68 versions cover different batteries and different body sizes within one series.
