Aion AION RT

The AION RT is a compact-class sedan produced by GAC Aion for the domestic Chinese market. The entire series runs on electricity alone: no version carries a combustion engine, and the choice comes down to motor output, battery and equipment.

For a compact-class car the body is long, 4,865 mm on a 2,775 mm wheelbase. It stands 1,520 mm tall and 1,875 mm wide, and the cabin seats 5. There is no multi-speed gearbox; a single-speed reducer does the job instead.

Motor output falls between 150 and 165 kW, or about 204 to 224 hp, so the gap between entry and top versions is modest. The real dividing line inside the range is the battery, from 54 to 70.1 kWh, matched by a quoted range of 505 to 710 km. On paper the versions differ more in how far they travel than in how much power they make.

Prices spread considerably wider than the hardware does: 16 versions fit into a band from 99,800 to 165,800 yuan. The series has been built since 2025, and 52,647 cars were sold in China over 12 months.

The 58.84 kW threshold divides nothing here, since every one of the 16 versions stands above it.
