The S90 is an executive saloon from Volvo sold on the Chinese domestic market. It has been on the price lists for years, and sales of the series in China over the past 12 months came to 15,052 cars.
Two kinds of powertrain appear in the range: some versions carry a combustion engine alone, others add an electric drive to it. Displacement is the same throughout at 1,969 cc, or 2.0 litres, while quoted output moves from 140 to 187 kW, that is 190 to 254 hp.
Every version has an automatic transmission, in part of the range one with 8 ratios, and drive goes to the front wheels. The emission standard is China 6.
The body is 5,083 to 5,090 mm long and 1,879 mm wide, on a wheelbase of 3,061 mm, with height quoted between 1,444 and 1,450 mm. Seating is for 5. The proportions are those of a large saloon: the wheelbase takes up most of the length, the overhangs are short and the roofline is low.
Factory prices for the 44 versions run from 372,900 to 505,900 yuan. The series has been built since 2017 and is still in production. On output the whole range sits above the 117.68 kW line, that is above 160 hp, with none of the 44 versions below it.
