Toyota Yaris L · XP150 (致炫 / 致炫X), GAC-Toyota facelift, 2022款 (the last model year in China).

The Toyota Yaris L (致炫) is a B-class subcompact city hatchback from the GAC-Toyota joint venture, built in China on the XP150 platform (a relative of the Vios sedan). The 致炫X (Zhixuan X) version is a crossover-style treatment of the same body: raised ground clearance (170 mm unladen), roof rails and black plastic wheel-arch cladding — both of our stock examples belong to it. All versions use the naturally aspirated 1.5L 7NR-FE petrol engine (82 kW / 112 hp, 139 Nm) with a CVT and front-wheel drive — a simple, low-maintenance and economical unit (combined consumption ~5.0 L/100 km) with Toyota's reputation for durability. The car is aimed at those who need a reliable, inexpensive city car with a minimum of electronics; the trunk is modest (~326 L), equipment is basic, and there are no turbo or hybrid versions in the range. For the Russian recycling-fee relief (engine ≤160 hp) the Yaris L qualifies with a large margin: at 112 hp, all trims are eligible. Downsides for the Russian buyer: small size, weak highway performance and China-only trims (including confusion between the 致炫 hatchback and the 致享 sedan on import).
