Mercedes-Benz GLE

The GLE is a large Mercedes-Benz crossover offered on the Chinese market and assembled locally by Beijing Benz. Its powertrain is a hybrid, with a combustion engine working alongside an electric drive.

The range holds two versions, both dated to the 2026 production year and both driving all four wheels. Displacement is what separates them: 1,999 cc, or 2.0 litres, against 2,998 cc — 3.0 litres — with output spread from 190 to 280 kW, roughly 258 to 381 hp.

Both versions stay above the 117.68 kW mark (160 hp); nothing in the line sits below it. Emissions are certified to the China 6 standard.

The dimensions belong to the upper part of the class: 5,051 mm long, 2,018 mm wide and between 1,784 and 1,789 mm tall depending on the version, on a 3,115 mm wheelbase. Seating is for five. A body of that length brings the roomy second row and the high load lip typical of large crossovers.
