Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV

The EQE SUV is a large battery-electric crossover from Mercedes-Benz aimed at the Chinese market. Assembly is local: the cars are put together by Beijing Benz.

All 14 versions in the range drive both axles through two electric motors and a single-speed reduction gear. Output spans 215 to 300 kW, roughly 292 to 408 hp, and it is the output step that places a version within the line, since the driveline itself is shared.

Battery capacity varies little across the line — 93.2 kWh on some versions, 96.1 kWh on others — while quoted range runs from 595 to 613 km. The body is shared throughout: 4,880 mm long, 2,032 mm wide, 1,679 mm tall, on a 3,030 mm wheelbase, with five seats.

List prices open at 486,000 yuan and reach 630,600 yuan, a gap between the cheapest and the dearest version wide enough to buy another car. The series has been built since 2023, and Chinese sales over the past 12 months came to 3,509 cars.
