GAC Trumpchi E8 PHEV传祺E8 PHEV

The GAC Trumpchi E8 PHEV is a 7-seat minivan from a Chinese brand. Every version in the range is a plug-in hybrid, carrying both a combustion engine and a traction battery. Sales in China over the past 12 months came to 23,786 cars.

Two engine sizes appear in the series, 1,498 and 1,999 cc, that is 1.5 and 2.0 litres. Output stays in a narrow band, from 103 to 125 kW, roughly 140 to 170 hp. The emissions rating recorded for the series is China 6.

Battery capacity moves noticeably between versions, from 25.6 to 38.9 kWh, and quoted range is listed from 150 to 281 km, so the two ends of the price list are nearly a factor of two apart.

The body is not identical down the price list: length from 4,920 to 5,000 mm, height from 1,760 to 1,778 mm and wheelbase from 2,930 to 3,000 mm. Width is 1,900 mm for all of them, so one name covers bodies of visibly different size.

Factory prices run from 189,800 to 238,800 yuan across 13 versions. The car has been built since 2024. The 117.68 kW mark, which equals 160 hp, falls inside the range: 9 versions sit below it and 4 above.
