BYD Song Ultra宋Ultra

The BYD Song Ultra is a mid-size crossover offered to buyers in China. Body and cabin layout are shared across the whole series, and what separates one version from another is the powertrain: some cars are fully electric, others are plug-in hybrids.

Hybrid versions use a 1,498 cc combustion engine of about 1.5 litres, certified to the China 6 standard. Transmission comes in two forms, a CVT and a single-speed reducer, and the rear wheels are driven in every case. The output range is unusually broad for a single series, from 74 to 270 kW, roughly 100 to 367 hp, and that is the main dividing line within the line-up.

Energy storage draws the second line: battery capacity runs from 26.6 to 82.7 kWh and quoted range from 205 to 710 km. The body is common to every version, 4,850 mm long, 1,910 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall on a 2,840 mm wheelbase, with seating for 5.

The price list is short, 9 versions between 129,900 and 179,900 yuan. The series has been built since 2026. By power it splits nearly in half: 5 versions remain below the threshold and 4 pass above it. Chinese sales over 12 months amounted to 42,493 cars.
