BYD Tang L唐L

The Tang L is a large seven-seat BYD crossover sold on the Chinese market. Some versions in the family are battery-electric, others are plug-in hybrids that carry a combustion engine as well as motors.

Quoted output climbs from 115 kW, about 156 hp, to 810 kW, roughly 1,101 hp. Hybrid versions use a 1,498 cc engine, some 1.5 litres, rated to the China 6 emission standard. The transmission list holds a CVT and a single-speed reduction gear; drive is rear-wheel or all-wheel, the latter with a pair of electric motors. Of the 6 versions, 3 stay below the power threshold and 3 rise above it.

Batteries range from 35.6 to 100.5 kWh and quoted range from 175 to 670 km. The car is 5,040 mm long and 1,996 mm wide and rides on a 2,950 mm wheelbase, while height varies by version between 1,760 and 1,970 mm.

Factory prices span 229,800 to 289,800 yuan. The series has been built since 2025, with 20,123 cars sold over 12 months. One name therefore covers both modest and distinctly powerful versions, and the gap between the two ends of the range is wider than the gap between many separate models.
