The Audi E5 Sportback is an electric mid-size sedan: the marque is European, but the car itself is meant for the Chinese domestic market, where SAIC Audi has been building it since 2026.
The gap between the entry and the top version is wide: 220 kW, about 299 hp, against 579 kW, roughly 787 hp. Drive goes through a single-speed reduction gear in every case, and two layouts are offered — rear-wheel drive with a rear-mounted motor and all-wheel drive with two electric motors.
Battery capacity is spread far more modestly than output, from 76 to 100 kWh, with a claimed range of 570 to 773 km. The line between trims therefore falls on the motor and the driveline rather than on the pack: the difference in stored energy is small next to the difference in kilowatts.
The body measures 4,881 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,479 mm tall, on a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Seating is for 5, and the series offers no other layout.
Factory prices for the 5 trims run from 235,900 to 319,900 yuan. Not one version falls below the 58.84 kW threshold. Chinese sales over 12 months came to 11,746 units.
