ARCFOX Alpha T5阿尔法T5

The ARCFOX Alpha T5 is a mid-size crossover that BAIC New Energy has been building since 2024. Fully electric versions and series hybrids sit side by side within the series.

The power band is narrow: 185 to 200 kW, roughly 251 to 272 hp. There is no stepped gearbox, only a single-speed reduction gear, and two driveline layouts — front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive with a rear-mounted motor. Versions that carry a combustion engine use a 1,498 cc unit, about 1.5 litres, with the factory index A156A1 and the China 6 emission standard.

Body length varies with the version, from 4,690 to 4,760 mm; width is 1,936 mm, height 1,650 mm, the wheelbase 2,845 mm, and seating is for 5.

Batteries run from 27.4 to 79.2 kWh and the claimed range from 215 to 705 km. What sets the versions apart is therefore not the motor but the type of powertrain and the energy carried on board.

Factory prices for the 19 trims start at 113,800 yuan and reach 199,800 yuan. All 19 versions are above the 58.84 kW threshold. Chinese sales over 12 months came to 36,429 units.
