Wuling Hongguang MINIEV宏光MINIEV

The Hongguang MINIEV is a microcar built by SAIC-GM-Wuling for the Chinese domestic market. One powertrain type serves the whole series, electric, so the choice comes down to battery size, body length and seat count.

Output is small: 20 to 30 kW, which works out at roughly 27 to 41 hp. There is no stepped gearbox; a single-speed reducer drives the rear wheels and the motor sits at the rear.

Batteries are small as well, from 9 to 26.5 kWh, with quoted range given as 120 to 301 km. The body changes noticeably from version to version: length 2,917 to 3,268 mm, width 1,493 to 1,521 mm, height 1,575 to 1,665 mm, wheelbase 1,940 to 2,190 mm. The cabin seats 2 or 4.

The price list holds 67 versions and stretches from 28,800 to 99,900 yuan, and the series has been built since 2020. Against the 58.84 kW threshold all 67 versions fall below, with not one above. Chinese sales over 12 months reached 320,455 cars.
